The Department of Optics Technologies at Alnoor University organized a scientific lecture on Thursday, October 16, 2025, entitled( Smart Afforestation and the Use of Technology in Irrigation and Tree Protection)presented by Dr. Talal Taha Ali a faculty member in the department.
The lecturer discussed during the session the importance of employing modern technologies to support afforestation efforts and address environmental challenges, presenting examples of artificial intelligence applications and sensor devices used to monitor tree growth and manage irrigation in sustainable ways.
This lecture is part of a series of scientific activities carried out by Alnoor University to promote environmental awareness and spread the culture of smart agriculture in support of sustainable development.
