In the presence of Mr. Ali Omar, Deputy Governor of NinevehDr. Ahmed mustafa ali mustafa Dean of the College of Law and Political Science At Alnoor University, the Human Rights Division held an awareness seminar on the morning of Monday, 27/10/2025, titled “The National Strategy to Combat Human Trafficking,” supervised by Assistant Lecturer Qidar Ahmed Mahmoud, with the participation of a group of specialists in this field
The seminar was divided into three main axes. The first axis, presented by Mr. Ali Omar, included an explanation of the role of Nineveh Governorate in combating human trafficking crimes, and the procedures of the relevant authorities to curb this phenomenon
As for the second axis, it was presented by Dr. Shaimaa Jaafar, in which she addressed the role of the Survivors Law in combating human trafficking, and what it represents as a legal umbrella for protecting and supporting victims
Dr. Amer Alhadi, in the third section, addressed the relevant international legislations, explaining the global legal frameworks and the adopted conventions aimed at combating this transnational crime
The symposium concluded with an open discussion session that witnessed active participation from the attendees, who emphasized the importance of raising community awareness and activating legal frameworks to protect human rights and promote social security.
