Alnoor University holds an educational week in the field of drug prevention

In line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in the presence of ,Professor Dr. Yassin Taha Alhajjar, The President of Alnoor University, in cooperation with the Human Rights Division, launched on Sunday morning, November 16, 2025, the activities of the special Anti-Drug Week organized by the Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance, distributing its program over five days
The activities began with a speech by the university president, in which he emphasized the importance of promoting a culture of drug prevention and raising awareness of its dangers among students and the community. This was followed by a speech delivered by Assistant lecturer Qaydar ahmad mahmod ,the head of the Human Rights Division, who stressed the need to raise young people’s awareness of the dangers of drugs and ways to prevent them
After that, the first research session was convened under the supervision of Dr. Husam zaidan shukur ,It included the delivery of three scientific lectures that addressed multiple aspects in the field of drug control
and attended the opening session Dr. Ismail Abdulwahhab Ismail, The scientific assistant to the university president, in addition to the deans of the colleges Education ,Law and Political Science ,Management TechniquesThe activities of the special week for combating drugs continue for five days until Thursday, 20/11/2025, with the participation of 27 researchers from Al-Noor University, the universities of Nineveh Governorate, and the relevant departments. Thirteen lectures will be delivered, and seven educational workshops will be held, in addition to an exhibition of awareness posters.
