Alnoor University holds the First Scientific Conference on Optics in cooperation with the Association of Optometry Technicians and Examiners

In the presence of Prof. Dr. Yaseen Taha Alhajjar, The president of Alnoor University established the Department of Optical Technologies College of Health and Medical Technologies, At the university, in cooperation with the Association of Optometry Technicians and Examiners in Iraq, on the morning of Saturday, November 29, 2025, the first Scientific Conference on Optics was held, amid a wide academic and professional attendance
The conference activities commenced with opening remarks delivered by: Professor Dr. Yaseen Taha Alhajjar, President of Alnoor University and,Professor Dr. Yassar Yahya Altamer The Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, and Mr. Jarallah Mohsen Nada, President of the Association of Optometry Technicians and Examiners in Iraq
Mr. Saif aldin Ali almashhadani, the association’s official in Nineveh, gave a detailed presentation on the course of the conference and its scientific program, followed by the ceremonies for distributing certificates and honorary shields
After that, the keynote speakers’ session was convened, chaired by Dr. Shahir Khalaf and with Mr. Muhannad Muhammad Bashir serving as session rapporteur, during which three scientific papers were presented. In the subsequent research sessions, twelve scientific papers were presented, addressing the various themes of the conference and highlighting the latest developments in the field of optical technologies and vision examination
This conference comes within the framework of Alnoor University’s commitment to enhancing professional and academic collaboration, and supporting scientific research in health and medical specialties.
