Alnoor University hosts the Iraqi poet Dr. Waleed Alsarrāf as part of the cultural program of the Department of Arabic Language

As part of its ongoing cultural program, the Department of Arabic Language hosted College of Education . At Alnoor University, on the morning of Tuesday, December 9, 2025, the renowned Iraqi poet Dr. Waleed Al-Sarrāf was hosted in a distinguished literary and cultural morning session
The literary morning gathering was attended by Dr. Bashar Mahmoud, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees ,Professor Dr. Ismail Abdulwahhab Ismail Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs,Professor Dr. Khzaal Fahti Zaidan The Dean of the College of Education, and it also witnessed a remarkable attendance of the department’s professors and students. The guest, the poet Zaid Saleh, was presented by the department’s assistant lecturer, who welcomed him and reviewed features of his poetic experience and literary career
During the gathering, Dr. Alsarrāf read a selected collection of his poems that reflect the diversity of his styles and the depth of his poetic vision, earning the admiration and engagement of the attendees. An open discussion was also held about poetry, its methods, and its contemporary innovations, which enriched the meeting and added an intellectual and cultural dimension to it
