The Department of Interior Design at the College of Applied Arts, Alnoor University, is organizing a workshop on Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

In the presence of Dr. Nazar Abdullateef Ahmed Dean of the College of Applied Arts At Alnoor University, the Department of Interior Design at the college organized a specialized workshop on applications of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) on Saturday morning, dated 13/12/2025. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ knowledge and familiarize them with the latest uses of this system in artistic and planning fields
The workshop was supervised by Instructor Dr. Bashar Mohammed Amin Abdullah He delivered a lecture in which he addressed the concept of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and its importance in data analysis and linking data to location. The workshop also featured the participation of Assistant Lecturer Baraa Imad Aldin Mohammed Ali, who presented a lecture on the components of Geographic Information Systems and the types of data used in them, along with a practical example illustrating how the system works
The workshop witnessed notable interaction from the students and opened new horizons for them to benefit from GIS technologies in the fields of interior design and projects that integrate the spatial dimension with artistic vision.
