Alnoor University wins the award for Best Set Design at the University Theater Festival of the Ministry of Higher Education

Alnoor University stood out among its counterparts from Iraqi universities at the University Theater Festival organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the year 2025, as it won the award for Best Theatrical Set Design among twenty-seven Iraqi universities
It is worth noting that Alnoor Cinema and Theatre Troupe, which is newly established, participated in the festival under the Student Activities Department. The actors and crew members of the troupe come from various colleges and departments of the university, including Applied Arts and Pharmacy, as well as the English Language Department in the College of Education, and the Visual Technologies and Anesthesia Departments in the College of Health and Medical Technologies
The outcome was crowned with a promising and serious participation through the university’s support and embrace of young and creative talents. Soon, Alnoor University Theater will see the light, serving as an international launch platform for purposeful theatrical and cinematic activities that promote noble and lofty values within society.
In celebration of this achievement, Professor Dr. Yassin Taha Alhajjar met with the participating students along with their instructors and awarded them certificates of appreciation and gratitude, in the presence of the Scientific Assistant, the Dean of the College of Applied Arts, the Media Advisor, and the Assistant Dean of the College.
