In its ongoing efforts to enhance sports infrastructure and provide a comprehensive learning environment, Alnoor University inaugurated its first modern sports hall, an indoor gymnasium dedicated to practical lessons for students of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences
The hall is considered a spacious, multi-purpose facility, as it is used for hosting seven-a-side football, handball, volleyball, and basketball matches. It also includes stands that can accommodate around 500 spectators, allowing them to follow the sporting events freely and in an organized manner
The opening ceremony began with the procession of the participants, followed by speeches delivered by both the President of Alnoor University ,Professor Dr. Yassin Taha Alhajjar, And the Chairman of the Board, Dr. Bashar Mahmoud Ali, both emphasized the importance of this sports facility in supporting the educational process and refining the students’ athletic skills
The event included honoring the participants in the Taekwondo competition and other sports activities, in addition to recognizing the engineering team responsible for completing the hall. The opening ceremony concluded with the cutting of the inauguration cake and special Taekwondo demonstrations, followed by a friendly match between the teams of Alhamdaniya University and Alnoor University amid a lively and enthusiastic sporting atmosphere.
