Joint research published Professor Dr. Samir Khalaf Abdullah a faculty member at College of Health and Medical Technologies, At Alnoor University, the faculty member Nojin Dara Haji from the College of Science, University of Zakho, published a study entitled “Molecular Characterisation and Epidemiological Profiling of Malassezia Species Associated with Healthy and Symptomatic Human Skin in Duhok Province, Iraq” in the Egyptian Journal of Medical Microbiology, Vol. 35, No. 2, 2026, which is indexed in Scopus.
 The study refers to the investigation of the phenotypic characteristics and epidemiological profiling of Malassezia yeast associated with human skin in Duhok Governorate, Iraq.
