Alnoor University participated in a workshop on European Union grant programs (Erasmus+) for funding research projects, entitled “Capacity Building in Higher Education
The workshop was organized by the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department / Erasmus Programs Unit at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and was hosted by the University of Mosul at the Scientific and Literary Forum
The workshop was launched on Monday, 19 January 2026, and continued for three days. It addressed the mechanisms for applying for Erasmus+ grants and their requirements, the various types of academic exchange and scientific mobility programs, as well as expanding international partnerships and developing joint projects, with the aim of building the capacities of students and academic staff within higher education institutions.
The University of Alnoor was represented at the workshop by the Director of the Department of Cultural Relations, the Head of the Erasmus+ Unit, and two academic researchers from the university’s teaching staff, as part of the university’s commitment to expanding its network of international cooperation and benefiting from the funding and exchange opportunities provided by the European Union to enhance education and scientific research.
