Alnoor University held a meeting with officials from the Russian National Library to discuss areas of cooperation

Alnoor University held an extensive meeting via (Microsoft Teams) with the Russian National Library to explore prospects for joint scientific and cultural cooperation, attended by Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdulwahhab Ismail ,Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs;Dr. Mohammed Zuhair Zaidan, Director of Cultural Relations ,Professor Dr. Zuhair Alkhashab From the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, Mr. Mohammad Jihad Mahmoud, Head of the Studies and Planning Division, and Mr. Omar Mowafaq, Director of the University Library. On the Russian side, Dr. Stanislav Golubtsov, Deputy General Director of the Russian National Library, represented the delegation, along with a group of directors of centers and departments specializing in Eastern studies and international projects, in addition to Dr. Bela Ahmedovna from RUDN University.
The meeting addressed mechanisms for exchanging expertise in the fields of archiving, classification, and document preservation, and discussed the possibility of exchanging visits for experts and providing the university with recent publications in medical, engineering, pure sciences, and humanities authored by Russian scholars, while also strengthening cooperation with Al-Noor Center for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage in the fields of Oriental studies and archaeology. The Presidency of Alnoor University confirmed its full readiness to implement the proposed scientific projects and welcomed the initiative to train its staff in the modern techniques applied at the Russian National Library, while the Cultural Relations Department indicated its intention to organize a letter of intent outlining the areas of joint work, in preparation for signing an official memorandum of understanding after obtaining the necessary approvals.
