In the context of its continuous pursuit of enhancing scientific research and expanding its knowledge base, Alnoor University announced the launch of a new scientific journal to join its series of peer-reviewed academic journals, in line with the university’s orientation toward supporting modern disciplines and linking academic knowledge with contemporary digital transformations. Accordingly, the university has begun publishing Alnoor Journal of Digital Heritage and Cultural Heritage Preservation, a peer-reviewed scientific journal concerned with publishing rigorous academic research in the fields of digital heritage, digital documentation, the preservation and safeguarding of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, and the application of modern digital technologies in heritage studies, with a focus on the applied dimension and addressing issues related to preserving cultural identity in the digital age.
The journal has issued its inaugural (zero) issue, which includes a collection of peer-reviewed scientific studies prepared by specialized researchers from local and international academic and research institutions, reflecting the diversity of topics and the integration of scholarly perspectives in the field of digital heritage and cultural preservation. This publication represents an important foundational step for Alnoor University toward establishing the journal’s position as a specialized academic platform in digital heritage studies and as an open scientific resource for researchers and interested scholars to contribute to the development of mechanisms for preserving and promoting cultural heritage through the use of modern technologies.
