A seminar on thalassemia at the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques at Alnoor University

The Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies organized College of Health and Medical Technologies, At Alnoor University, a scientific symposium was held on Tuesday morning addressing the burden of thalassemia carriers on the family’s future and ways of prevention and control
The symposium was held under the supervision of Dr. Hadi Mohammed Ehymayed The head of the department, while Dr. Sanaa Mohammed Tayeb Amin, Assistant Professor in the department, delivered her lecture, in which she reviewed the genetic aspects of the disease and its health and social impacts, in addition to emphasizing the importance of early screening and community awareness to limit its spread.
This event is part of the scientific activities that Alnoor University is keen on organizing to raise health awareness among students and the community, support efforts aimed at preventing genetic diseases, and improve quality of life.
