Students of the Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies at Alnoor University visit one of their future workplaces

As part of Alnoor University’s efforts to provide an integrated educational environment that enables its students to identify their career paths at an early stage, and under the direction of Assistant Professor Dr. Hadi Mohammed Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques College of Health and Medical Technologies, On the morning of Thursday, February 26, 2026, the department organized a field visit for a number of fourth-year students, accompanied by a group of the department’s faculty members, to the Specialized Oncology and Nuclear Medicine Hospital in Mosul.
The students were introduced during the visit to the nature of laboratory work in the various hospital departments, particularly the laboratories concerned with specialized tests related to tumor diagnosis and nuclear therapies. They were also familiarized with modern equipment and the work mechanisms adopted in accordance with contemporary medical standards.
This visit comes within the applied program adopted by the department to link the theoretical aspect with practical training, in a way that contributes to refining students’ skills, enhancing their readiness to engage in the labor market after graduation, and consolidating the concept of partnership between the academic institution and the health institutions in the governorate.
