The College of Pharmacy at Alnoor University held a workshop on occupational safety for its first-year students

On Tuesday morning, January 21, 2025, the College of Pharmacy At Alnoor University, a specialized training workshop was held in the field of occupational safety within chemistry laboratories. It targeted first-year college students, aiming to enhance awareness of safety and security procedures and to instill proper laboratory practices from the early stages of their academic studies.
The workshop was supervised by Dr. Shakir Mahmood SaiedIt was delivered by the assistant lecturers Taif Anmar and Omar Mohammed, and included both theoretical and practical sessions covering the fundamentals of safe handling of chemical substances, mechanisms for preventing potential hazards within laboratories, as well as an introduction to the proper use of personal protective equipment and emergency procedures.
This workshop comes as part of the college’s efforts to prepare students who possess solid scientific knowledge combined with a responsible professional culture, in line with the requirements of the pharmaceutical work environment and reinforcing standards of quality and safety in laboratory training.
