A workshop in the Interior Design Department at Alnoor University on the design requirements for people with special needs
As part of its interest in the humanitarian aspects of the educational process, the Department of Interior Design organized College of Applied Arts At Alnoor University, on Sunday 5/4/2025, a specialized scientific workshop was held addressing the design requirements for people with special needs, supervised by ,Dr. Nazar Abdullateef Ahmed Dean of the College. The workshop was attended by: Assistant Professor Dr. Hatem Qasim Aljumaili,Assistant lecturers: Baraa Imad Aldin ,Ali Mahmoud and Rafaqa Abdul Karim, along with Instructor Hatem Hazem Dawood, reviewed the most important modern standards and principles that should be adopted in designing interior spaces to ensure a safe, comfortable, and inclusive environment for all segments of society, especially people with special needs. The workshop included discussions on several key topics, mechanisms for adapting buildings and educational and service facilities, as well as the use of design solutions that facilitate movement and accessibility, in addition to enhancing independence and integration for this important group within society.
