Organized by the Department of Optical Technologies College of Health and Medical Technologies, On Tuesday April 7, 2026, an awareness lecture on the topic of smoking and drugs in Iraq was held, supervised by Assistant Lecturer Dr. Dina Akram Jirjis It addressed the harms of smoking and drugs on society, as well as their impact on individuals. It also presented statistics on the number of people affected, along with studies on their effects in Iraq, as they are considered among the harmful social problems.
