Alnoor University Secures First Place in Iraq in the Education and Teaching and Environmental Tracks, and Sixth Place in the Medical Track at the NURAI 2026 Championship
Alnoor University has achieved a distinguished national accomplishment in the NURAI 2026 National University Championship for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Applications, after three of its teams advanced to the scientific interview stage in the Education, Environmental, and Medical tracks.
The NGX team won first place in the Education and Teaching track with a score of 95.5 for its “Nibras” project, an intelligent Iraqi educational robot that uses computer vision and conversational artificial intelligence to support the educational process. The Byte Force team also secured first place in the Environmental track with a score of 93.5 for its “Dijlah Eye” project, which monitors river water quality using robotics and artificial intelligence.
In the medical track, the MedCore AI team qualified in sixth place with a score of 87 for a project that uses explainable deep learning to diagnose spinal MRI images.
This achievement reflects Alnoor University’s advanced level in the fields of artificial intelligence, robotics, and applied innovation, and enhances its teams’ chances of reaching the championship’s final ceremony.
