Head of the Petroleum Engineering Department at the College of Engineering at Al-Noor University Publishes New Research on the Use of Groundwater.

A research paper by Dr. Taha Hussein Al-Salem, Head of the Petroleum Engineering Department at the College of Engineering at Al-Noor University, has been published in the
(International Journal of Applied Sciences and Technology). The paper is titled
(Uses of Groundwater for Drinking and Agriculture in the Al-Rashidiya and Al-Guba Areas North of Mosul, Iraq.)

The research aims to study and determine the quality of groundwater wells for drinking and agricultural purposes by analyzing the chemical and physical properties of groundwater samples collected from 15 wells in the study area.
The findings indicate that most chemical components are increasing due to the interaction between infiltrating rainwater, existing groundwater, and the host and reservoir rocks, as well as agricultural and human activities.
