The Director of the Center for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage at Alnoor University participates in a PhD dissertation defense at the University of Amsterdam.
On the morning of Monday, September 15, 2025, Dr. Nabil Nour Al-Din, Director of the Alnoor Center for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage at Al-Noor University, participated as a member of the defense committee for the PhD dissertation submitted electronically by researcher Ghufran Sabri to the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. The dissertation was titled: *“The Social Fabric in Mosul: Conflicts of Historical Periods and the Future of Cultural Heritage in a Civilized Society Facing Political Intersections.”*
It is worth mentioning that the researcher, Ghufran Sabri, serves as an assistant lecturer in the Department of Archaeological Tourism at the College of Arts – Alnoor University, and his dissertation is considered a scholarly contribution to the study of social transformations and cultural challenges in the city of Mosul and the political and cultural intersections it has faced throughout its history.
