Fourth year students in the Petroleum Engineering Department at Alnoor University are training on various tests of petroleum products

The Petroleum Engineering Department conducted College of Engineering At Alnoor University, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, fourth-year students were trained to test and determine the specific gravity of various petroleum products. Two different gasoline samples, two kerosene samples, and two different gasoil samples were examined using a graduated hydrometer. Temperatures were also measured. In addition, the petroleum derivative samples were tested to determine whether they contained water, using a detector designed for this purpose. Dr. Mahmoud Abdul Kareem Abdul Qader provided a comprehensive explanation of the practical methods and how to handle petroleum products and use the instruments under supervision Dr. Taha Hussein Ali AL-Salim Head of the Petroleum Engineering Department.
