The Psychological Counseling Division at Alnoor University is holding a workshop on the phenomenon of suicide

The University Guidance and Counseling Division at Alnoor University organized a scientific workshop addressing the phenomenon of suicide and its psychological and social causes, attended by a number of faculty members and students.
The workshop was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmad Saeed Rashid, Director of the University Psychological Guidance Division, and featured presentations by Lecturer Dr. Hossam Zaidan Shukr, Assistant Professor Dr. Ma’arib Hamid Ahmad, and Assistant Lecturer Marwa Shaker Habib. They reviewed the main factors contributing to the rise of this phenomenon, highlighting the impact of psychological, social, and economic pressures, as well as the lack of family and community support in some cases.
The workshop also focused on the importance of early detection of warning signs and the role of educational institutions in providing a supportive environment for students through guidance and ongoing psychological follow-up, as well as promoting a culture of seeking help when needed.
The workshop witnessed active participation from the attendees through questions and contributions that enriched the discussion, emphasizing the importance of continuing such awareness events that help protect students and support their mental health.
