The English Department at Alnoor University is organizing a workshop on translating redundant repetition

In the presence of Prof. Dr. Yaseen Taha Alhajjar, The President of Alnoor University, and supervision Professor Dr. Khzaal Fahti Zaidan Dean of the College of Education . The English Department at the college held a scientific workshop on the morning of Wednesday, March 11, 2026, entitled (Problems of Translating Redundant Repetition from English into Arabic among Students).
The workshop was managed by Assistant Lec. Aya Ali HasanThe following speakers addressed it: Dr. Asmaa Yahya Qasim ,Assistant Lecturer Inas Ismail Fathi The workshop addressed the main difficulties students face when translating the phenomenon of redundant repetition from English into Arabic, highlighting the stylistic differences between the two languages and how to handle repetition in a way that ensures accuracy and clarity of meaning. The university’s scientific advisor and several department heads attended the workshop.
 The workshop also addressed a set of practical examples and translated texts, highlighting the correct methods for handling this type of redundancy, thereby contributing to the students’ development of translation skills and improving their ability to convey meaning accurately. This workshop emphasizes the importance of such academic activities in enhancing students’ skills and strengthening their linguistic and translation expertise.
