Head of the Accounting Department at Alnoor University Chairs a Committee to Evaluate a Research Paper for the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) Certification

Assistant Professor Dr. Samir Taha Yassin, Head of the Accounting Department at the College of Administrative Technologies at Alnoor University, chaired on the morning of Monday, August 24, 2026, the discussion committee for student Ammar Abdul Salam Khalil regarding his research submitted to the Institute of Internal Auditors – Mosul Branch, entitled:
“Digital Transformation and Its Impact on the Internal Control System: Opportunities and Challenges – An Applied Study at the University of Mosul.”
This discussion is part of the student’s efforts to obtain the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification, which is considered one of the advanced professional certifications in the field of internal auditing and enjoys a distinguished academic and professional standing. It has also been recognized as equivalent to a master’s degree.
The research examined the impact of digital transformation on the development of internal control systems and the opportunities it provides to enhance the efficiency of auditing and control procedures, alongside the challenges that may accompany the implementation of digital technologies, particularly those related to infrastructure requirements, information security, and human resource competencies.
