Professor from the College of Dentistry at Al-Noor University Chairs the Defense Committee for a Master's Student at the University of Mosul

Professor Riya Jasim Mohammed, a faculty member at the College of Dentistry at Al-Noor University, chaired the defense committee for the Master's thesis of graduate student Rasha Moayyad Salem. The thesis, submitted to the Department of Pediatric, Orthodontics, and Preventive Dentistry at the College of Dentistry, University of Mosul, is titled "The Effect of Magnesium-Based Gel and Combined Application with Diode Laser in Treating White Spot Lesions: A Laboratory Study."
The defense took place on Thursday, 12/9/2024. The committee included Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Muath Hamid and Assistant Professor Saher Sami Majid, both from the College of Dentistry at the University of Mosul. The committee also included Professor Aisha Akram Qasim from the University of Mosul, who supervised the thesis, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Sarmad Subhi Saleh from the College of Dentistry at the University of Mosul.
The thesis focused on evaluating and comparing the effectiveness of topically applied magnesium-based gel at different concentrations, in combination with diode laser, with commercially available 1.23% APF gel in restoring the color and hardness of white spot lesions.
