In the presence of Prof. Dr. Yaseen Taha Al-Hajjar, President of Alnoor University, the university—through the Department of Archaeological Tourism in the College of Arts and the Department of Interior Design in the College of Applied Arts hosted Professor Dr. Abbas Ali Abbas Al-Husseini on the morning of Saturday, May 17, 2025. Dr. Al-Husseini is a professor of Ancient Civilizations at the College of Archaeology, University of Al-Qadisiyah, and the former President of the General Authority for Antiquities and Heritage in Iraq. During his visit, he delivered a lecture titled "Art and Society in Mesopotamia," offering rich insights into the interplay between creative expression and cultural development in one of the world’s most ancient civilizations. At the conclusion of the lecture Dr. Ismail Abdulwahhab Ismail Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, presented Dr. Al-Husseini with the University Shield and a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of his excellence, profound knowledge, and remarkable command of the topic.
