Alnoor University organizes a scientific field visit for Medical Laboratory Technology students to the Nineveh Water Directorate to enhance their practical skills
Under the supervision of Dr. Hadi Mohammed Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques College of Health and Medical Technologies, At Alnoor University, and as part of its ongoing efforts to link theoretical study with practical application, the department organized a scientific visit to the Quality Control Department at the Nineveh Water Directorate, with the participation of a number of fourth-year graduation project supervisors and a group of their students.
The visit aimed to familiarize students with modern equipment and technologies used in the examination and analysis of drinking water. Specialists at the directorate provided a detailed explanation of laboratory procedures, methods for measuring the concentrations of elements and chemical substances, as well as quality control measures and water quality assurance protocols.
The visit witnessed remarkable engagement from the students, as they were given the opportunity to perform some practical tests under the supervision of technical staff, which contributed to enhancing their applied skills and developing their scientific capabilities.
Additionally, there was an exchange of scientific knowledge and expertise regarding methods of treating water pollution, particularly in well water and certain areas of the Tigris River. The visit also included discussions on the most prominent environmental challenges and proposed solutions to reduce the impact of pollutants on water sources.
This visit comes as part of Alnoor University’s commitment to developing its students’ skills and strengthening cooperation with service institutions, in a way that contributes to preparing qualified scientific cadres that meet the needs of the labor market.
