Alnoor University, in Cooperation with the Local Government, Organizes a Night Tour to Showcase the Civilized Face of the City of Mosul
In cooperation with the local government of Nineveh Province, and upon the gracious invitation of Nineveh Deputy Governor Mr. Khalid Abdul Karim Alobeidi, Alnoor University participated in welcoming a high-level governmental delegation from Baghdad and several Iraqi provinces. The visit aimed to observe the ongoing renaissance taking place in the city of Mosul and to showcase its cultural and tourism appeal to the visiting delegation.
The visit commenced with a cultural evening hosted at Baytuna Foundation for Culture, Arts and Heritage, the cultural platform of Alnoor University. The event reflected the richness of Mosul’s civilizational heritage through its cultural and artistic atmosphere, while highlighting the role of academic and cultural institutions in reviving and preserving the city's authentic identity.
The visit also included an evening tour through the historic quarters of Old Mosul and a number of its heritage and tourist landmarks, where the fragrance of history blended with the atmosphere of a city that has regained its spirit and vitality, in a scene that reflects the depth of the rich civilizational heritage for which Nineveh Governorate is renowned.
The tour included visits to a number of heritage sites, traditional markets, and areas overlooking the Tigris River. The visiting delegation expressed its admiration for the atmosphere of the city and the tourism and cultural assets it possesses, which are capable of attracting visitors from both within Iraq and abroad.
Alnoor University reaffirmed its commitment to supporting activities and initiatives that contribute to highlighting the civilizational identity of the city of Mosul and strengthening cooperation with government institutions, in a manner that reinforces the city's status as a center of knowledge, culture, and history, while reflecting the authenticity of Nineveh and its rich cultural diversity.
