The Iraqi Engineers Syndicate Nineveh Branch, in cooperation with Alnoor University, Holds a Celebration of Iraqi Engineer Day
In academic partnership with Alnoor University, the Iraqi Engineers Association / Nineveh Branch organized the Iraqi Engineer Day celebration under the slogan (Engineers: The Builders of Iraq) The event was attended by a broad official and academic gathering that included a number of Nineveh Governorate officials, engineering, academic, and community figures. The celebration reflected the status of the Iraqi engineer and highlighted his historic role in building the nation and shaping its future.
The celebration featured a comprehensive program that reviewed the journey of Iraqi engineering throughout the ages, beginning with the ancient civilization of Nineveh and the rich legacy of Assyrian engineering, and culminating in the significant role that Iraqi engineers play today in reconstruction efforts, the implementation of vital projects, and the development of infrastructure, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and public service sectors.
The celebration also featured official speeches emphasizing the importance of supporting engineering talent and strengthening its role in development and reconstruction. The event further included honoring the top-achieving students from engineering colleges across Nineveh Province, as well as recognizing the families of martyred engineers who sacrificed their lives in service to Iraq and the engineering profession. In addition, success stories of a number of distinguished engineers were presented, highlighting their remarkable contributions and achievements in the fields of professional practice and innovation.
Alnoor University, through its participation as the academic partner of the celebration, reaffirmed its continued commitment to supporting scientific and professional activities and strengthening partnerships that contribute to serving the community and empowering young engineering talents, stemming from its belief that the Iraqi engineer has always been, and continues to be, one of the most important pillars of construction and development in Iraq.
