As part of supporting investment and strengthening partnership between academic institutions and the private sector, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Alnoor University, Dr. Bashar Mahmoud Ali, accompanied by the Deputy Governor of Nineveh, Mr. Khalid Alobaidi, conducted a field visit to the Green City residential complex located on Alqaa Street on the right side of Mosul city, to review the progress of construction stages and the urban development taking place in the project.

The project management received the delegation and welcomed the visit, expressing its interest in strengthening cooperation with the University of Alnoor. They accompanied the delegation on a tour that included various facilities of the complex, as well as the residential units, services, and infrastructure that have been implemented within the project.

The delegation was briefed on the level of progress, the quality of implementation, and the modern urban designs that characterize the complex, which is considered one of the leading and promising investment projects in Nineveh Governorate. This is due to its significance as an important addition to the housing and urban development sector, as well as its role in supporting reconstruction and investment activity in the city of Mosul.

Dr. Bashar Mahmoud Ali emphasized the importance of encouraging high-quality investment projects that contribute to developing infrastructure and creating an integrated urban environment, praising the efforts made by the project management and the achieved completion rates, which reflect the scale of work and investment in this vital project.

During the visit, an agreement was reached to open avenues for joint cooperation between the University of Al-Noor and the project management, by providing practical training opportunities for male and female students of various engineering departments. This would enable them to gain direct exposure to major engineering projects and acquire hands-on experience that enhances their readiness for the job market.

This visit comes within the orientations of Al-Nour University aimed at strengthening partnership with investment and development projects in Nineveh Governorate, and linking the academic aspect with practical application, thereby contributing to preparing qualified engineering cadres capable of participating in the process of construction, reconstruction, and sustainable development.
