A Delegation from Alnoor University and the Deputy Governor of Nineveh Visit Green City Residential Complex in Mosul
As part of efforts to support investment and strengthen partnerships between academic institutions and the private sector, Dr. Bashar Mahmoud Ali, accompanied by Nineveh Deputy Governor Mr. Khalid Alobaidi, conducted a field visit to the Green City Residential Complex, located on Al-Qaida Street on the right bank of Mosul, to review the project's progress and the urban development and construction milestones it has achieved.
The project management received the delegation and welcomed the visit, expressing its interest in strengthening cooperation with the University of Alnoor. They accompanied the delegation on a tour that included various facilities of the complex, as well as the residential units, services, and infrastructure that have been implemented within the project.
The delegation was briefed on the level of progress, the quality of implementation, and the modern urban designs that characterize the complex, which is considered one of the leading and promising investment projects in Nineveh Governorate. This is due to its significance as an important addition to the housing and urban development sector, as well as its role in supporting reconstruction and investment activity in the city of Mosul.
Dr. Bashar Mahmoud Ali emphasized the importance of encouraging high-quality investment projects that contribute to developing infrastructure and creating an integrated urban environment, praising the efforts made by the project management and the achieved completion rates, which reflect the scale of work and investment in this vital project.
During the visit, an agreement was reached to open avenues for joint cooperation between the University of Alnoor and the project management, by providing practical training opportunities for male and female students of various engineering departments. This would enable them to gain direct exposure to major engineering projects and acquire hands-on experience that enhances their readiness for the job market.
This visit comes within the orientations of Alnoor University aimed at strengthening partnership with investment and development projects in Nineveh Governorate, and linking the academic aspect with practical application, thereby contributing to preparing qualified engineering cadres capable of participating in the process of construction, reconstruction, and sustainable development.
