Alnoor University and Alkut University Sign a Memorandum of Cooperation to Strengthen Academic Partnership and Scientific Integration

On the morning of Saturday, July 11, 2026, Alnoor University welcomed a high-level academic delegation from Al-Kut University, headed by the University's President, Dr. Fakher Jabr, and comprising Dr. Abdul Hussein Ghanem and Dr. Wathiq Naim Alwan, on an official visit aimed at strengthening scientific and academic cooperation between the two universities.
The President of Alnoor University was there to receive the delegation ,Professor Dr. Yassin Taha Alhajjar,and Dr. Bashar Mahmoud Ali. The two sides held a meeting during which they discussed a number of key issues concerning the future of higher education, as well as ways to strengthen institutional partnership and promote the exchange of scientific and academic expertise, in a manner that contributes to consolidating integration among Iraqi universities and advancing the quality of higher education and scientific research.
The visit culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the two universities, formally signed by their respective presidents. The memorandum establishes an official framework for collaboration in academic, scientific, and research fields, serving the strategic objectives of both institutions while fostering opportunities to implement joint programs and collaborative activities.
The reception ceremony and the signing of the memorandum were attended by the Assistant President of Alnoor University for Scientific Affairs, the Deans of the Colleges of Dentistry, Pharmacy, Health and Medical Technologies, and Engineering, as well as the University's Scientific Advisor and the Secretary of the University Council.
At the conclusion of the visit, Alnoor University organized a field tour for the visiting delegation, covering a number of the University's academic buildings, scientific laboratories, lecture halls, and research units. During the tour, the delegation was introduced to the University's modern infrastructure and its advanced academic and scientific capabilities. The visitors expressed their admiration for the remarkable qualitative development that Alnoor University has achieved in its educational environment and scientific facilities.
