Alnoor University Continues Its Academic Engagement in the UK: Discussions with the University of Reading Open New Horizons for International Collaboration
In a new step reflecting its commitment to strengthening its international academic presence and expanding cooperation with leading global universities, a delegation from Alnoor University held a meeting with representatives of the University of Reading (UK), in the presence of the Iraqi Cultural Attaché to the United Kingdom, Professor Dr. Qusai Alahmadi.
The meeting also featured extensive discussions on prospects for academic, scientific, and research cooperation between the two universities, as well as opportunities to establish a strategic partnership that would facilitate the exchange of expertise and knowledge and strengthen collaboration among academic staff and researchers.
The two sides also discussed the possibility of developing joint academic and research programmes and initiatives, and establishing new avenues for collaboration in areas of mutual interest. They further explored ways to capitalize on the capabilities and scientific expertise available at both universities in a manner that would positively benefit students, academic staff, and researchers alike.
As part of the visit, the Alnoor University delegation conducted an extensive tour of the University of Reading, visiting a number of its colleges, departments, and academic and research facilities. During the tour, the delegation gained first-hand insight into the University's teaching and research environment, infrastructure, and the facilities it provides. They also became acquainted with the nature of its academic programmes and the operational practices adopted across a number of its educational and research units.
The tour also gave the delegation the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the University of Reading’s experience in managing and developing its campus environment, as well as the facilities and opportunities available to students and researchers. This visit is expected to enhance opportunities for exchanging expertise and benefiting from successful academic practices in order to advance future cooperation between the two universities.
