Digital Media Students at Alnoor University Explore the Radio Broadcasting Environment During an Academic Visit to the Iraqi Media Network – Nineveh Branch
As part of the training program for students of the Department of Digital Media at Alnoor University. College of arts, At Alnoor University, the department organized a scientific visit to the Iraqi Media Network – Nineveh Branch on Monday, July 27, 2026, as part of its efforts to strengthen the practical aspect of students' education and provide them with the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the professional media work environment.
The university delegation was welcomed by the Director of the Iraqi Media Network's Nineveh Branch, who greeted the students and emphasized the importance of cooperation between academic and media institutions in preparing professionally qualified graduates equipped with both knowledge and practical skills. The meeting included an overview of the Iraqi Media Network's operational mechanisms and its role in delivering the media message, in addition to introducing its various departments and the training and professional development programs available to students of the department.
The visit also included a field tour of the Iraqi Media Network's radio studios and broadcasting facilities, where the students learned about the various stages of radio program preparation and production, broadcasting mechanisms, control rooms, and the modern equipment and technologies used in radio operations. They also gained insight into the daily workflow and the processes of producing media content in accordance with professional standards.
This visit also comes as part of the Digital Media Department’s efforts to expand its training partnerships with reputable media institutions, including the Media Training Institute of the Iraqi Media Network in Baghdad. Such partnerships provide students with specialized training opportunities that contribute to developing their practical skills, refining their professional experience, and enhancing their readiness to enter the job market.
Through these hands-on activities, Alnoor University reaffirms its commitment to providing an integrated educational environment that combines academic preparation with practical training, thereby contributing to the development of media professionals equipped with the competence and experience required to meet the demands of the profession and serve the community.
