Alnoor University Secures First Place in Iraq in the Education and Environmental Tracks, and Sixth Place in the Medical Track at the NURAI 2026 Championship
Alnoor University has achieved a distinguished national accomplishment in the NURAI 2026 National University Championship for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Applications, after three of its teams advanced to the scientific interview stage in the Educational, Environmental, and Medical tracks.
The NGX team secured first place in the Education and Teaching track with a score of 95.5 for its “Nibras” project, an intelligent Iraqi educational robot that employs computer vision and conversational artificial intelligence to support the educational process. The Byte Force team also achieved first place in the Environmental track with a score of 93.5 for its “Dijla Eye” project, which uses robotics and artificial intelligence to monitor river water quality.
In the medical track, the MedCore AI team qualified in sixth place with a score of 87 for a project that uses explainable deep learning to diagnose magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans of the spine.
This achievement reflects Alnoor University’s advanced standing in the fields of artificial intelligence, robotics, and applied innovation, and enhances the chances of its teams reaching the championship’s final ceremony.
