Alnoor University wins seventh place in the “Athar” Award for sustainable universities with a safe environment at the Iraq national level
Alnoor University achieved a new academic accomplishment by winning seventh place among Iraqi universities in the Sustainable University with a Safe Environment Award (Athar Award for Sustainable Universities)This was out of more than 80 universities that participated in the competition, while only 10 universities were honored with this prestigious award
The Ministry held a central ceremony to announce the results and honor the universities that achieved leading positions, and Alnoor University was represented by Prof. Dr. Yaseen Taha Alhajjar, President of the University, andProfessor Dr. Ismail Abdulwahhab Ismail Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs.
The “Athar” Award is a national joint initiative between the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, held under the patronage of the Prime Minister. It aims to promote safe environmental and sustainability standards in academic institutions, in line with international trends for developing university campuses environmentally, health-wise, and in terms of services.
