Alnoor Center for Linguistics at Al-Noor University enriches the Arabic library with a new translation of Spanish literature

As part of the activities of the Alnoor Center for Linguistics at Alnoor University, and within its efforts to revitalize cultural and intellectual interaction between the Arabic language and the languages of the world, Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Jihad Mahmoud, a faculty member at the university, has published a book translated from Spanish into Arabic, entitled (The School of Optimism).
The book is one of the novels by the Spanish writer Luisa María Martí García, a well-known author who enriched the literary library with more than ten books, including the novel “The School of Optimism,” which was published in 1938.
The novel tells a deeply human story centered on confronting life’s difficulties with optimism and embracing hope as a powerful force capable of overcoming hardships. It also highlights the possibility of transforming feelings of pessimism and despair into positive energy that motivates individuals to persevere and look forward to a better future.
The publication of this translation comes within the framework of Alnoor University and the Alnoor Center for Linguistics’ commitment to building bridges of communication between cultures and enriching the Arabic library with literary works from around the world. It also contributes to advancing the translation movement and fostering openness to the experiences and literatures of different peoples, while affirming the university’s academic and cultural role in serving knowledge and broadening the horizons of intercultural interaction among languages and cultures.
