Al-Noor University College obtained membership in the Private Higher Education Council after the elections of reconstitute the Council in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research which received 22 votes out of 34 colleges included in the voting, it is the second highest percentage of votes after Bilad Alrafidain College. Among eight colleges nominated for membership, four of them won.
The elections were preceded by a meeting chaired by Dr. Haider Abed Deputy Minister of Higher Education for Scientific Research Affairs, which included in its membership a ministerial team to manage the elections, where the Deputy spoke, emphasizing scientific and administrative sobriety as one of the means of qualification to win, as well as not limiting membership to a single geographical area. Then the floor was opened for each dean to present a scientific overview of him and his college, and then the elections took place.
