Nidaa Omar is currently an Assistant Professor at Al-Noor University College, Department of English. She obtained her graduate degree in translation and linguistics (1991) from the University of Mosul, College of Arts, Department of Translation, and her master’s degree in 2001 from the same university and department. She obtained a doctorate in translation from the University of Malaya, Department of Languages and Linguistics, in 2013. From 1997 to 2023, she was teaching at the College of Medicine, University of Mosul. She taught advanced academic skills and English at the College of Medicine and other colleges. She is interested in translation, rhetoric, pragmatics, and Quranic studies.
